4 things to know before embarking on a project

Date

Are you thinking of starting a project? Whether it’s a family project, a business or anything else, the world is full of ideas, and it’s essential for you to keep these in mind before you even get started. This will help you see your idea through to reality.

  1. Your idea: your idea must be unique. Unique doesn’t mean that other things can’t be like it, but its uniqueness must make the difference. What gives value to a project is the quantity in which it is available. Many people today want to start out just to start out, and then face a world of atrocious competition that they don’t dare confront. What makes the difference before you even get started is the way you communicate your project, and for that you need PASSION. A project that makes the difference is an intrinsic one; it has to come from you, not have been imposed on you.
  2. Your team: we often think it takes a lot of people to start a project. We hear the phrase “alone we go faster and together we go further”, a wonderful phrase, which I believe in, but sometimes you have to start alone before there’s a team. Many pioneers have started without anyone believing in their idea, their project or anything else. A team is always preferable, but when there isn’t one, don’t let that stop you from getting started. It will be harder, but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. Your zeal, passion and perseverance are contagious, and you’re the example to follow.
  3. Your investment: another hurdle to overcome before you even get started. Many people visualize a project at a much more advanced stage than it actually is, and imagine they’ll have to come up with a sizeable budget (or at least one that’s too big for them). Your idea is nothing, and if you take one step forward from nothing, it’s only one step, not thousands. Of course, you need to think about the healthy development of your project in the long term, but be modest in the early stages. Don’t let your perfectionism become an insurmountable obstacle, start with the strength you have and make the most of what you have to reach your goal, progressing step by step!
  4. Your abilities: in the same way, you don’t have to know and master everything to achieve something. You simply need to seek out the resources you lack. When you want a coffee in the morning, you don’t have to go and collect the beans from the coffee plant, dry them, roast them, etc. You just go and buy your beans, ground or not, your pods, whatever fits your machine, and you make your coffee. If you don’t have a machine, you can buy one from a bar or similar. It’s the same for your project. If you don’t have all the resources, arrange to get them, don’t try to do it all yourself. Concentrate on what’s special about you, and gather the resources you need to express it.

Do you know where the largest number of projects can be found in every country? In the graveyard! Unfortunately, many have great ideas, but few see them through to the end. Don’t let your idea die with you, dare to take the step to express that idea and make it a reality that will make this world a better place. Someone needs you, the world needs you, we believe in you!
